Remember the Alimony

Remember the Alimony is a contemporary sherry cocktail. It combines gin with equal amounts of fino sherry and Cynar—the bittersweet Italian amaro flavored with artichokes. The drink is assembled in an old-fashioned glass filled with one large ice cube.

The ingredients are added to the glass and are mixed until chilled. Before serving, an orange twist is expressed over the drink and then placed inside the glass. The cocktail is a creation of Dan Greenbaum, who first served it in 2012 at The Beagle, NYC.
