Pleasant Creek

Pleasant Creek is a Swiss-style cheese originating from Oregon, where it's produced by Pholia Farm Creamery and Dairy. The cheese is made from pasteurized goat's milk and it's usually left to age from 7 to 9 months in caves during winter, resulting in a reddish rind.

Underneath the natural rind, the texture of this hard cheese is smooth and open with many eyes dispersed throughout the body. The aromas are grassy and fruity, while the flavors are mild, nutty, and buttery. This American cheese is named after a tributary to Evans Creek near the Pholia Farm Creamery and Dairy.
