Considered to be a variation of the more famous Wiener schnitzel, the breaded pork cutlet known as kotlet Schabowy is one of the most popular Polish dishes. Even though it appeared in the 19th century under the influence of Austrian and German culinary tradition, it quickly became a mainstay in restaurants and households throughout the country.
"There are 3 types on offer, of which I tried two. First, Złotnicka pork chop - imagine a perfectly prepared pork chop made of first-class meat, that's exactly it. Then a pork chop from Mangalica in Warmia - here it was already fat, so not for everyone, but I myself was delighted."
Thin, crisp and fresh! That is a good SCHABOWY! <3
Huge pork schabowy, serverd with potatoes and salads! Tasty as hell!
There's nothing nicer than dining at picturesque restaurant located nearby the market square of the historic capital of Poland. I've got my schabowy sautée-prepaired, since I'm on gluten-free diet, along with fried egg, salad and french fries. A truly delicious treat.
Best example of traditional Polish schabowy.
