Blenheim Apricots | Local Apricot From Santa Clara, United States of America | TasteAtlas

Blenheim Apricots

Blenheim is an American apricot variety that's grown for drying and canning in the Santa Clara Valley in California. The production of these apricots dates back to the early 1900s. These apricots can also be eaten fresh, and they're recognized by the fact that they ripen later than most other apricots.

They also ripen from the inside out. The flesh is sweet and tart, with aromatic notes of honeysuckle. Blenheim apricots are often used in baking as well.
