"One of my favorite desserts is Angelina's Mont Blanc, a creation that can't be described in just a few words but must me enjoyed, ingredient by ingredient, flavor by flavor, bite after bite... Delicious, delicious gooey gooey goodness."

Charlotte russe

Recommended by Céline Rivier and 5 other food critics.
"The unmistakable Charlotte... in a simple pear-chocolate version with a very pleasant creamy foam, a perfect balance between the fruity aroma of the pear, the creaminess of the mousse and the softness of the biscuit."

"Among the dishes I tested and incorporated into my diet, my favorite was the sweet Mont Blanc, a mountainous cake composed of puréed chestnuts and whipped cream with a meringue base that I tried at the famous Café Angelina."
"One of my favorite desserts is Angelina's Mont Blanc, a creation that can't be described in just a few words but must me enjoyed, ingredient by ingredient, flavor by flavor, bite after bite... Delicious, delicious gooey gooey goodness."
"Another classic on the menu is the highly celebrated “Mont Blanc” pastry dessert, which is the dessert Angelina is most famous for (perhaps equally to the chocolat chaud). The dessert describes itself as a meringue with light whipped cream and chestnut cream vermicelli. This is a pretty loose description of what I would like to call an incredibly indulgent, thick consistency, extremely rich dessert which does not leave you any room for hot chocolate. Be sure to choose one or the other (or visit ... Read more
"Epicurean delights include the Mont Blanc dessert, a ball of meringue covered in whipped cream and sweet chestnut."
"A friend told us they had the best quiche Lorraine so we shared one order. I’ve never had a quiche which had more bacon than eggs or cheese. It was really good."
"The mound of spaghettified chestnut paste is impressively lofty, but somewhat, well, brown. There is deliciousness inside though, with a whipped cream centre and meringue base, but getting through one of these solo is a test of endurance – a little like scaling the peaks of its namesake. Iconic though it is, this is one you might want to share."
"If you have a sweet tooth or if you are looking for the best mont blanc cake in Paris, look no further. Angelina Patisserie is the place you should head to."
"In the category “pastry” to be tasted at least once in a lifetime… I ask for: the Mont Blanc, this cult cake, concocted with whipped cream, meringues, covered up with vermicelli noodles of chestnut cream, star pastry since more than a century of at the Angelina tea salon, fave hangout of Parisiennes in the know."
"An absolute must was the new coconut and passion-fruit variation on Angelina’s iconic pastry, the Mont-Blanc, which has been its signature pastry since 1903."
"The unmistakable Charlotte... in a simple pear-chocolate version with a very pleasant creamy foam, a perfect balance between the fruity aroma of the pear, the creaminess of the mousse and the softness of the biscuit."

"Excellent variation of chestnut puree. Delicate and balanced, not too sweet, with a "surprise" meringue on the bottom. True Parisian dessert."
