The Baron Michael Tossizza Foundation, established in 1947, has significantly contributed to the development of Metsovo, Greece. In 1955, under the vision of Evangelos Averoff-Tositsa, the Foundation initiated a cheese factory in Metsovo, aiming not only to create employment but also to serve as a practical cheesemaking school.


This initiative led to the creation of unique cheeses by combining traditional Italian methods with local Greek practices.
