"That’s right, that charming pebbled beach, those endless picturesque sea views and that locally caught fish cooked to perfection all add up to create a world favorite foodie experience and the best fish supper you’ll ever eat."
"2013 Fish and Chip Shop of the Year Award: Winner - The Bay Fish & Chips, Stonehaven."
"At the Bay, every fold of the haddock is cooked to perfection. The batter, a sleek rusty sheath, doesn’t imprison it; rather it clings lightly to it like a shirt made of silk. The chips are big blousy frites which seem to rebuke you as you contemplate not finishing them."
"After soaking up the sights of the castle, take the scenic walk back into Stonehaven to enjoy some of their culinary delights. The Bay, Stonehaven’s seafront chippy, has been crowned the UK’s best fish and chip shop for several years, along with countless other awards. Pick up a fish supper and enjoy a seat on the pebbly shore."
"It’s little touches like making their own tartare sauce and mushy peas as well as offering a slice of lemon that makes them stand out amongst their peers. I went for the special, a jumbo hake fillet and was also tempted by a side order of their homemade mushy peas. The chunky fish was perfectly cooked with a fantastic crisp, golden batter."
"The batter is crisp but very light. The chips are chunky and as proper chip shop chips should be. The tartar sauce is creamy and delicious, so make sure and get one or two tubs. Topped off with an Irn Bru and this is one of the best traditional British meals you can have."
