Thai zebra tarantula (lat. Cyriopagopus albostriatus) is a type of tarantula native to the tropical rainforests of Thailand, Myanmar, and Cambodia, known for its distinctive striped pattern, which resembles zebra's markings. It is a large spider, with a leg span of up to about 15 centimeters (6 inches).
Like most tarantulas, this one is also venomous, but its venom is not considered dangerous to humans (though a bite would still be quite painful). In certain regions, including parts of Cambodia and Thailand, this species of tarantula is considered a part of the local cuisine, typically fried with garlic and spices.
