Tips

  • ingredients

Although the codified recipe calls for Aperol, other bitters such as Select and even Cynar are preferred in Venice. Also, older recipes called for dry white wine and not Prosecco, as it's the case today.
  • drinkware

Serving Aperol spritz in a wine glass is extremely popular, but it can also be served in a highball glass.
  • garnish

Besides an orange slice, other common garnishes include an olive and the lemon peel.
