Samai Kampot Pepper Rum is a first-of-its-kind, crafted with aromatic red Kampot pepper blended with carefully aged rum, creating a truly unique flavor profile. Aged up to three years and further matured for six months in stainless steel tanks, this rum is distilled using traditional copper pot stills and a column still.
The nose reveals a crisp, sweet aroma of fresh Kampot pepper, while the palate offers a well-balanced combination of spicy and sweet notes, with hints of guava and eucalyptus. The finish is characterized by the tanginess of red Kampot pepper, complemented by a building sweetness for a smooth, rounded conclusion.
Samai Distillery, established in 2014, is Cambodia's first premium rum producer, located in the heart of Phnom Penh. Founded by a team of passionate individuals, including master distiller Ms. Moang Darachampich, the distillery combines Latin American rum-making traditions with Asian roots to create handcrafted rums that reflect the richness of Cambodian terroir.
Samai sources high-quality, locally grown sugarcane to produce rich molasses, the base for all their premium rums. The production process involves traditional copper pot stills and column stills, allowing for a balance between flavorful, intense rums and smoother, lighter spirits.
