Quincy | Local Wine Appellation From Cher, France | TasteAtlas

Quincy

Quincy is a French appellation from Loire Valley that produces dry white wines from Sauvignon Blanc grapes. Quincy wines are typically crisp with a wide array of flavors and aromas such as citrus, mint, white flowers, exotic and green fruit.

These wines tend to be incredibly mineral with a distinctive flint aroma. They have good aging potential, but age generally does not improve the quality of the wine. These aromatic and harmonious wines are a perfect match to fish, crustaceans, and goat cheese.

Quincy was the first official appellation in the Loire, and the second in the entire country that received the AOC status.
