Mavras

Mavras is a family-owned brand of extra virgin olive oil from the Küçükkuyu region in the Çanakkale province of Turkey. It originates from a family whose ancestors migrated from Crete in 1934—the brand name comes from the surnames Mavrazade and As—and today it combines over a hundred years of experience with modern processing technology.

The family tradition continues into the fourth generation, now using state-of-the-art equipment for oil production. By 2018, the facility had implemented a new generation cold-press system—the first of its kind in Turkey—in order to preserve the natural flavor and nutritional value of the oil.

Protection from air, plastic, sunlight, heat, and excess water is considered essential: the oil is extracted without adding external water, processed via centrifuge, and stored exclusively in opaque glass bottles or cans with airtight seals.
